My primary inspiration is the physical process of painting. An investigation into the fallibility of the eye also intrigues
me. By using appropriated imagery, patterns, grids, industrial and geometric designs as my vocabulary, I am exploring and
trying to defeat the logic of the 2-D surface.

The paintings themselves are multi layered. Sometimes only a distant echo of a previous layer remains creating an intuitive
feeling of memory and the passage of time. A sense of scale is never quite certain and a more thorough interrogation of the
surface by the viewer brings a unique and subjective experience to the painting.
