This commission is a portrait of my cousin Suzie, who also happens to be the country's leading Marylin Monroe lookalike.
I used a combination of glitter, stars and resin to create the glitzy surface.
She was very pleased with the finished result.

On a sadder note, i would just like to pay tribute to TV presenter Tony Hart who passed away very recently.
He was a huge inspiration to me when i was young.
I think a lot of my interest from using different kinds of materials probably comes from watching Take Hart all those
years ago.

I was at the London Art Fair in January and managed to pick up a copy of Fiona Rae's latest catalogue.
I think this painting is wonderful. A combination of very loose brush marks dispersed with graphic signs and symbols.
